John Lennon's UFO Encounter:
A Special Report From Johnny Rockett, UFO Reporter
By Gary Val Tenuta
This month we're pleased to bring you a special report from our field
correspondent, Johnny Rockett, UFO Reporter. He'll be joining us via short
wave radio from a secret location somewhere in the United States. Johnny, are
you there? Come in Johnny...
ROCKETT: Yeah, this is Johnny Rockett, UFO Reporter. Can you hear me alright?
GVT: We can hear you just fine, Johnny. What have you got for us?
MIDNIGHT: I can't believe I've never heard about this before, seein' as how I
was a big Beatles fan. Anyway, here's the story...
Apparently John Lennon - you know, the dead one? - well apparently he
witnessed a UFO from the window of his Upper East Side apartment in New York
City. This must have been about 1974. He was living with some woman named May
Pang at the time. Whoever the hell May Pang is, I have no idea. I mean what
happened to Yoko? Was she abducted by aliens and replaced with another woman
named May Pang? Was Pang like some sort of an alien hybrid sent to spy on him
or something? I gotta check that out. Oh, hold on a second. I'm being handed
a memo from one of my anonamous sources...
Ah! Apparently Ms. Pang was Lennon's personal secretary! Seems they were
living together during the time he and Yoko were separated. Okay, I guess
that clears up that little mystery.
Anyway, this "personal secretary" and Lennon had just had a pizza delivered
and they were going to eat it out on the terrace. Lennon, who was naked,
stepped out onto the terrace in his finely tailored birthday suit while Pang
was in the bedroom getting dressed (apparently they had been having a
dictation session). Suddenly Pang heard John yelling for her to hurry and
come to the window. Pang yelled back at him saying she would be right there
but he just kept screaming for her come that instant!
When she stepped out onto the terrace with John she was shocked to see what
he was so excited about. It was a large, circular object in the sky and it
was coming straight towards them. It was shaped like a flattened cone and on
the top there was this large, bright, pulsating red light.
The thing moved closer and closer and pretty soon they could see what looked
like smaller white lights around the circumference of the craft. Pang
allegedly told people that the thing got so close she thought they could have
thrown something at it and it probably would have hit the craft.
During this whole time, and as close as the object was, they couldn't hear
any sound coming from it. She estimated it was about the size of a Lear jet.
According to the story, the UFO cruised on out of sight. Hoping that it might
return, they set up a telescope so they could get a closer look at the thing.
They didn't have to wait too long. The craft did return for a moment. At
least long enough for John to grab his camera and get a couple shots of it.
Unfortunately - and ain't this always the case - the photos turned out to be
so overexposed that nothing significant could be seen in them.
Allegedly, they called both the newspaper and the police to report the
sighting and were told, in both cases, that they weren't the only ones to
have reported the object. At least seven other people had reported seeing the
same thing.
So anyway, there ya go. Celebrity sees UFO. Is it true? I don't know. I just
reports 'em as I finds 'em. This is Johnny Rockett, UFO Reporter, signing off.
GVT: Thanks Johnny. Well there he goes, folks, off into the night looking for
stuff that goes bump. Great story. We'll try to connect with Johnny Rockett
periodically to see what he's uncovered. Until next time, as always... keep
your feet on the ground and your eyes on the skies!
