MAJOR SIGHTING !

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MARCH 6, 2002

It was 8:45pm est. I first saw the object in the northern sky moving very slow to the southeast. My first thoughts were, [ "It must be a plane"]. The craft was not making any noise and appeared to be about 5,000 feet in altitude. The light I saw was big and bright, and was white in color. I went to my car to drive away, and I kept an eye on this thing. It was taking way too long to get across the sky.

I grabbed my camera and took three shots of it when my film ran out. It was still slowly heading southeast. I gave up on it and drove off.

  A half of a mile into my drive, I see the same object go across the sky in front of me.  It was much lower this time and moving from north to south. I watched the craft make a turn and come back toward me. That's when I stopped my car in amazement of this thing.   

As the craft was going by me again, it tilted on its side.  I could see structure, and It was a triangle. It had three white lights, one on each corner and a reddish/orange flashing light in the center on the bottom. It also had a red and blue rectangular light on the back and it was pulsing back and forth. There was a bluish/white strobing light on the back, and it would illuminate the light black surface of the triangle at times.

At this point, I put a new roll of film in my camera and snapped off 12 more photos of the craft before it moved to the south with a burst of speed. This thing seemed to glide at times and then move off tremendously fast . It looked very light in the air.

I proceeded onward toward Liberty Rd. and  that's when I saw it again. It must have circled back in my direction, because this time it tilted showing the lights and structure once more. Needless to say, I was totally blown away by this.  The object raced away with a burst of speed,  and I thought I had seen the last of it. It moved to the south again and I was now on I-695 North heading for Reisterstown, Md.  

I had just gotten off I-695 and  on to I-795, when once again the craft reappeared in the western sky. I felt like it was playing a game with me; making the circles and going very slow one minute, and then speeding off the next. It finally sped off to the northwest, and I didn't see it anymore. It was one of the best sightings I have had in several years...

UPDATE !

I was beside myself after seeing that  the 15 photos I took of the triangle were no good. Only one photo revealed the faint shape of the craft. Being that low in the sky and all of the lighting around the area,  the object should have been on the film plain as day. I don't understand it , and I can't explain it. I was in disbelief when I got my photos back from processing. I have been calling Baltimore/Washington International Airport tower since Monday March 11, 2002. I wanted to know if planes were in my area at the time of the sighting, what kind of planes, and what direction they were flying.  

Monday March 11 - I called the tower and told the man I was speaking to about my sighting. He said I need to talk with the operations manager, and to call him back tomorrow.
Tuesday March 12 - I called to speak with the operations manager, and I was told he was not in.
Wednesday March 13 - I called for him again, and I was told that he was on another line. I called a second time, and was told he was gone for the day.
Thursday March 14 - I called for him and was told he was gone for the day.
Friday March 15 - I called for him again, and was told he was not in. I asked if there was someone else I could talk with,  and the guy put me through to someone else. This man would not tell me his name, and I guess the other guy told him about my sighting. I asked if he could tell me about the air traffic in the Woodlawn area that night. He asked me to describe what I saw, and I told him. He said that "THEY" are testing unmanned Drone planes and F-17s in Maryland.  [What I saw didn't look like either of those]. I said who are THEY? He said "I can't tell you that". I said -"Are they coming from Northrup/Gruman "? He said - "No". He said "I can't tell you anything about it", "I have to go". That was the end of that...  

I am not sure of what it was that I saw that night, but I am certain the craft was a perfect triangle. I more than likely will never know, but I will keep trying to find out..
