The Denbigh film

I received the initial UFO report from someone in the UK. The report was not all that highly charged as some abstracts that I have received. There was one aspect of this case that sets all of the rest apart. There was a movie made of the object. It is a huge file. Downloading will be impossible for most if not all computer users so be warned if you choose to download this mpeg.

I received this 2-CD set by postal mail on September 5, 2005. I examined the first one on September 06, 2006. The CD is an interlaced, 2-channel mpeg. The file is huge, so I chose to watch it on my big screen TV with DVD player. I am glad I did. The DVD player affords me some special effects options, like zoom. There is quite a bit of footage of a light source object. It is difficult to say if the object was shot during the pre-dawn/evening hours or if it was shot entirely at night, as there were filters used during the making of this film. But the actual analysis of the object will have to be done from my computer, which is no small task. With the daunting endeavor, which lies ahead, I pursued my analysis of the UFO.

The object seems to be pulsating from within. There seems to be some form of coronal discharge coming from its surface. There were some very odd surface features that I noted while watching this film. One in particular is the tear-dropped shape with the line going through it. I was not sure if this was an artifact of the camera or not. It seemed to be rotating slowly.

There were other characteristics of this film that were classic examples of UFO behavior. The blinking-out or fading out of the object only to reappear over the terrain at another area. The object moved behind objects, like telephone wires and a tree across the field. This gave it more depth and clarity, further substantiating my belief that the reporter was sincere and this was the genuine article. But one can never know for sure.

My initial impression was one of skepticism. There have been several Australian films circulating that perpetrate a hoax.  These films were staged and it is all a trick of smoke and mirrors, which is not hard to do given the state of our image technology today. There were several aspects of the Denbigh film that would make any investigator suspicious. The Denbigh film was apparently made with a digital camera. The object in question was frequently going in and out of focus. That is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

Another idea that had occurred to me was the fact that one of these objects could have been an aircraft.  One can clearly see two lights that could have been an aircraft making an approach at a local airport. I have investigated these so called UFOs that were airplanes making their approach of a local airport. There are moments where the aircraft will appear to be hovering in mid air. This fantastic idea quickly vanishes as the jet begins its sweep to the left (or the right) as it does its banking maneuver. There are several problems with this theory that has to be ruled out.

I will have you try to draw a picture of this maneuver in your mind's eye.  Now visualize the movement that a Boeing 737 would make if you were down the flight path of this airplane.  Now visualize this aircraft making its bank to the left. The lights turn in respect to the banking maneuver of the plane. This was not the case with this object, which remained fixed and forward. Now this could have been done by copying and pasting the object in a frame-by-frame fabrication, but this was too smooth and so it had to be ruled out.  I have witnessed other UFOs making this kind of maneuver. It is unique and it is not an aerial trick that any known aircraft can perform. It has been speculated that some experimental military (top-secret) aircraft can hover and perform this maneuver but this has never been proven.

I have other commentary that I could mention here, but I will leave it to the general public to form an opinion on what this thing is. It is my gut feeling that this man is sincere, but I have some reservations and I cannot make any one decision with 100% certainty. You will have to reach your own conclusion.
