American Indians and the UFO phenomenon

The Star Knowledge of the Ancient Ones  By Christopher Montgomery

The first Star Knowledge Conference was held in Wagner, South Dakota in June of 1996, on the Yankton Sioux Reservation. This event was considered to be the fulfillment of prophecy and was one of the signals indicating the current "Time of Transition". Because of the special times that we live in, many Native Americans and other spiritual teachers feel that it is now time to open their sacred teachings to people outside of their own traditions.

Founder and visionary for the Star Knowledge Conferences, Standing Elk, (Lakota Sioux), is one of the seven Yankton Sioux Sundance Chiefs, Spiritual Advisor, and co-author of "Maka Wicahpi Wicohan" also known as 11:11, The Universal and Spiritual Laws of Creation.

In July while in Colorado, right after sweat lodge ceremony, I saw a
craft, it was as if it winked (the lights) acknowledging our prayers,
then it left, there was no noise and only bright white light.
I thought I saw a few way up high a couple days later in the daytime,
they were traveling together.

Also saw what I could only describe as what seemed to be "controlled
lightening" in the Colorado Mtns. just outside of Pagosa Springs.
Gotta go the kids are hungry!

Children of the Stars

The Hopi legend of Masaaw, often appearing as a great fireball, goes back thousands of years. It was Dan Evehema that had informed Thomas E. Mails of this particular legend. As Thomas was savoring this information, a memory flooded back to him. It was a memory of an experience that he'd had at a meeting with the Sioux Nation.

The author had arrived at Henry Crow Dog's home and was invited in. Thomas sat with his back against the wall like the rest of the 40 or so guests that had met there. Henry Crow Dog's living room was a huge rectangle, with a dirt floor and no furniture. Henry was sitting at the opposite end of the room, underneath a window.

It is tradition for Native American Indians to begin their meetings with the burning of sweetgrass. And so it was at this meeting. As someone burned sweetgrass, many were chanting in their native Hopi dialect. The burning of incense is a tradition amongst Native American people. It is believed that this will disperse any evil spirits.

"...when suddenly throught the window - without breaking it - came a fireball that was perhaps three feet in diameter. What it looked like was a burning tumbleweed. As we watched in fascination, it bounced like a ball down the middle of the floor to the end, where I was sitting, then back and out the window again. I don't recall feeling any heat. There was a moment's silence to acknowledge what to the Indians was a minor miracle, and which apparently was a sign that Henry had requested to guide him in making some decision." -Thomas Mails Reference #1

The Hopi Indians believe that the Maasaw can transform himself into a fireball to work his miracles. They believe that he still shows himself this way. Could the Masaaw of Hopi Indian legend be called by another name by the Sioux? I would speculate that my answer would be yes. The research that I have to date reveals that aboriginal native American Indians believe that they came from the stars. This "coming down" is consistent with archeological evidence that I have discovered while doing research on Henrietta Mertz. Reference #2, 3

Woblaza is the grandson and direct descendant of Sitting Bull. While in a meeting with him and other elders, he said that "Indian nations have rose up to protect mother:" Gaiah is a name given by many Indians to describe mother earth. Gaiah is a star being who bears star children," and commented that "we are a very special race at this time." Woblaza believes that his ancestors "came down" from the stars. The evidence would suggest that this is indeed a fact, wrapped in the myths and legends of the Native American peoples .

The link that ties us all together is the symbol of the hand. It is our one common denominator, recognized by the American Indians as the tie that bonds us into one family. "We are one race, one people...a caring people," he said. "There is hope for a better world that is coming...and we must give this to our children, one world, living in peace."
