(Due to unforeseen circumstances both Ron Halliday and Brian Allan can no longer present their lecture to SPI in London) However, fear not, in their place we have secured the services of seasoned UFO researcher Nigel Wright.

ABDUCTION…. AN AMERICAN CULTRIAL HERITAGE?

As reports of Americans being “abducted” reaches millions in number, lots has been written regarding this wave of horrific events. Whilst these events are no doubt real and very frightening to the persons concerned, are these reports a signal of real events?, or just a new type of mass delusion, founded deep within the American mindset?... Why should persons from the US be so convinced in the abduction process?...Is this just the result of the 1950’s b-movies, which flooded the market with visions of aliens, landing in flying saucers?... Or is there much deeper cultural reasons why the US should be such a rich hunting ground for the abductors?... In this talk I shall explore these reasons. I will discuss the influences that effect different people, in different continents. Also, I will show the differences in the ways in which we, here in the UK, deal with UFO reports..

THE LOCH NESS STORY.

SPI founder Malcolm Robinson will present a historical slide show of the Loch Ness Enigma, from the early Nessie reports from St Columba through to the alleged sightings of Nessie on the ‘road’ (?) onto the numerous photographic evidence. He will also look at the alleged Robert Rines controversial underwater photographs of Nessie and also the famous Frank Searle Nessie photographs. During his talk, Malcolm will show footage taken during his dive in the Loch Ness submarine where it is possible to see through the submarines large toughened glass porthole, the Loch Floor and what it’s like to see Loch Ness at 480 feet below the surface. He will also discuss his ‘Nessie Trap’ (?) which caught the attention of movie producer Steven Speilberg.

The nearest underground station is West Brompton which is right across the road from the venue, (It couldn’t be any nearer unless it was inside the venue itself) West Brompton station is on the District Line. Get a train to Earl’s Court, then take the Wimbledon train to West Brompton (it’s only one stop) Nearest mainline rail station is West Brompton. Buses No 74. SPI advise you to be careful if bringing your car to the venue as the traffic wardens hide behind bushes, bus stops, and have camouflaged jackets and await any unsuspecting driver who is a nana second over time. Don’t give them the satisfaction, take the tube.
