Abstract: Eyewitness testimony from a soldier in the USRA: I never gave this information to anyone officially, but this is the truth.  I would have took this to be a dream if I didn't have someone to witness part of the encounter.  It was a clear, warm summer night and my patton was at the firing range doing night training, (about 11:00 pm) firing tracers, I turned around and notice my drill instructor, and a few others gazing into the sky. There was a triangle formation of lights slowly moving in the sky. All of a sudden they came to a halt. One left the formation, and came closer in our direction (we all sort of looked at each other) it came to a halt for about 30 sec. then returned to the formation.  All of a sudden the formation shot upward like a shooting star 'til out of sight. That was an experience in it's self, right there.  The encounter took place in the barracks. This is going to sound weird, but it is the truth.  I fell asleep listening to my 8 track player, till I was awaken by 3 beings looking at me over my bunk.  They looked like 3 military personnel; an officer, a sergeant, and a corporal. I thought I was dreaming, because all of there face gave off a radiant glow.  I felt afraid and closed my eyes, then I opened them and they all seemed to smile at me. The corporal spoke in a very kind voice, and asked me to turn my music off and put it away.  I felt as though I floated from my bunk, to my locker, opened it, and then floated back to my bunk. After that I felt like I slept a couple of minutes.  I woke up, (thinking I had a weird dream) and went downstairs to see if my friend (that was pulling barracks guard duty )had seen anyone come upstairs.  When I asked my friend, he appeared to be in a daze with his m16 in hand.  I even waved my hands across his face, and he didn't even blink.  So I shook him to get his attention.  He asked me, (what happened?) I asked him if he saw any one come in the barracks.  He said he saw 3 military personnel whose faces seem to glow, come in, and when he approached them, that's all he remember. A cold chill went through me at this point.  Thinking that I was not dreaming. All of a sudden the room seem to get bright, we went to the door, and about 150 yards out in the woods, we both saw a very large, bright green, upside down spinning top shape object lifting out of the woods. We both looked at each other, then looked back at the object.  It seemed to hover for about 20 sec. just above the trees, then slowly climbed, came to a holt again for about 10 sec., then took off into space,  like to speed of light.  We promised to keep this to ourselves while we where in the military. I still think about this event from time to time, wondering, ( What was their purpose?)
